Who Is Asim Jofa?
Asim Jofa started, perhaps surprisingly, as a jewellery designer. He trained as a gemologist and built a reputation in Lahore’s upscale jewellery market before pivoting into clothing — and that origin story is visible in every piece he makes.
If you look at an Asim Jofa jora, you will see the jeweller’s eye: mirror-work so precise it catches light from across the room, crystal embellishments placed with intention, embroidery that has weight and presence. His clothes were never going to be minimal. They are maximalist in the best possible way — joyful, gleaming, unapologetically festive.
He launched his clothing line and grew it rapidly through one of the most effective tools Pakistani fashion has seen: social media. His Instagram following is enormous. His pieces appear constantly in reels, in celebrity photos, at mehndi functions across Pakistan and the diaspora. He understood the new Pakistani fashion consumer — aspirational, image-conscious, brand-aware — and built a brand around them.
Today, Asim Jofa has flagship stores across Pakistan and a strong online presence. He is one of Pakistan’s most-purchased designer names at the mid-to-upper price tier, and for good reason.
