Thousands of brides fly from the UK, the USA, Canada and Australia every winter to get married in Pakistan. Most of
them spend months trying to solve the same problem from the wrong side of the world: how to get a designer bridal
dress for a wedding in Lahore, Faisalabad, Islamabad or Karachi, when the boutiques are there and you are here.
The usual answers are expensive and stressful. Order from abroad and hope the fit and the colour are right. Buy on a
two-week trip and carry a lehenga through three airports. Or hire something near home that was never meant for a
Pakistani barat.
There is a simpler answer: rent the dress in Pakistan. This guide explains how to book a designer bridal dress from
abroad with One Time Bridals, try it on when you land or have it delivered to your wedding city, and fly home with
nothing to carry back.
Can You Rent a Pakistani Bridal Dress for a Wedding in Pakistan if You Live Abroad?
Yes. One Time Bridals rents designer bridal dresses from its studio in the Mall of Faisalabad to brides whose wedding
is anywhere in Pakistan, including brides who live abroad:
- Book from abroad on WhatsApp. Choose your dresses weeks before you fly, with the team's photos and measurements.
- Try it on when you land, at the studio in Faisalabad, or have it delivered to the house where you are
staying, in Punjab, Karachi or KPK. - Seven days with the dress, enough for the function, the photos and the day after. Groom sherwanis, matched to
the bride's dress, are rented for three days. - A refundable deposit, returned when the dress comes back.
- Nothing to carry home. The dress goes back to the studio, not into your suitcase.
One thing to be clear about: rentals are delivered within Pakistan only. If your wedding is in the UK or North
America, this page is not the one for you, and the studio will tell you so honestly.
How Does Booking from Abroad Work?
- Message the studio with your dates and your city. On WhatsApp,
+92 321 7853131,
tell the team which city the wedding is in, every function date, your size and the look you want. Say where you are
flying from and when you land, so the plan fits your trip. - Get a shortlist with measurements. The team sends dresses that suit each function, with photos, the
measurements of each piece and the designer's name. - Choose from abroad. Decide on WhatsApp, or keep two or three options for a trial when you land. Our
bridal dress size guide shows how to measure
yourself properly before you choose. - Confirm the booking. The studio confirms your dates and the deposit with you.
- Land, try, wear, return. Try the dress at the studio or receive it at your address in Pakistan, wear it for your
function, and hand it back before you fly. Your deposit comes back to you.
Ask the team about timing, fittings, the deposit and how it is paid from abroad when you first message. Everything is
confirmed in writing on WhatsApp, so there are no surprises when you arrive.
Why Renting Beats Ordering from Abroad or Carrying a Dress
- You see it before you commit. A dress ordered online arrives after the money has gone. A rented dress is tried
on at the studio, in daylight, with your jewellery, before your wedding. - No customs, no excess baggage. A heavy bridal lehenga is a suitcase on its own, and some airlines charge for it
both ways. Our guide to packing a bridal dress for air travel
shows what you avoid by not packing one at all. - A different designer look for every function, instead of one dress stretched across the week.
- The right dress for a Pakistani wedding. A barat lehenga, a walima gown and a mehndi outfit are made for these
functions and this climate, by the designers the aunties will recognise. - No dress to store in a London flat for twenty years.
If you are still weighing it up, our rent vs buy comparison
goes through both sides.
How Do You Plan It Around Your Trip?
Most overseas brides are in Pakistan for two to four weeks, with the wedding in the middle. That works well for renting:
- Book before you fly. In wedding season, from October to February, the best dresses are booked by other brides
for nearby dates. Message the studio as soon as your function dates are fixed, even if your flight is months away. - Plan one studio visit, early in your trip. If you can get to Faisalabad, do the trial in your first days, so
there is time for a swap if a piece does not suit. Faisalabad is about two hours from Lahore by motorway, and
Lahore is where most UK and North American flights land in Punjab. - Or choose delivery. If your wedding is in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi or anywhere else the studio
delivers, give the team the address where you are staying, and the dress is there before your first function. - Count the days. A bridal rental is seven days. If your mehndi, barat and walima are spread across two weeks, tell
the team all the dates at once, and they will plan which dress arrives when. - Return before you fly. Build the return into your last days, not your last hours.

What About the Groom and the Family?
The groom's sherwani can be rented from the same studio and matched to the bride's dress, so the couple looks planned
together in every photo. If the groom is flying in too, send his measurements with yours. Our
groom's sherwani guide explains what to measure.
For sisters, cousins and friends attending from abroad, our outfit guides for guests from the
UK,
USA,
Canada and
Australia cover what to wear and
what to pack.
How Does Pricing Work?
Rental prices are not published online, because every dress is priced on its own. The quote depends on the collection
(LUXE, SIGNATURE or ESSENTIALS; GROOM for sherwanis), the days included, the refundable deposit, and the delivery
arrangement if the dress is delivered rather than collected at the studio. Send the team the dress you like, your
function and your dates, and you get a clear price for that dress. Ask how the deposit is paid from abroad when you
book: the team will explain the options.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I book a rental dress before I arrive in Pakistan?
Yes. Most overseas brides choose and confirm on WhatsApp weeks before they fly, then try the dress at the studio or
receive it at their address when they land.
Which cities do you deliver to?
Rental dresses are delivered within Pakistan: across Punjab (Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan and
more), to Karachi and Sindh, and to KPK.
Do you ship rental dresses to the UK, USA or Canada?
No. Rentals are for weddings in Pakistan. Pre-loved dresses, which you buy and keep, do ship abroad.
How do I know the dress will fit?
The team sends the measurements of every piece in your shortlist, and you can keep two or three options for a trial
when you land. Rented dresses are not altered, so the measurements matter: measure carefully before you choose.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Tell the team as soon as you know. Rentals are planned around your function dates, and the studio works with you on
timing.
