Planning a Pakistani Wedding from Abroad: The Complete 12-Month Checklist

The Fundamental Rule: Earlier Than You Think

Every experienced diaspora bride will tell you the same thing: whatever timeline you are planning, move it forward by two months. Pakistani wedding vendors — especially in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad — book out faster than most diaspora families expect. Top photographers, sought-after makeup artists, and exclusive venues can be unavailable a full year in advance during peak season (October to February, and May to July).

The second rule: identify who your on-the-ground coordinator is. This is the family member or trusted friend in Pakistan who will physically visit venues, handle vendor payments, attend fittings, and send you video walkthroughs at 11pm their time. Without this person, remote planning becomes genuinely difficult. With them, it is manageable.
